ABVCAP: Mission Israel and VC inBrazil Forum Tel-aviv Edition - Tel Aviv and Jerusalem

About:
ABVCAP with Apex-Brasil in partnership with Anjos do Brasil joined forces to take a group of professionals to Israel on a five-day agenda that aims to connect Israeli and Brazilian investors on potential partnerships and co-investments. ABVCAP is also hosting the inaugural edition in Tel-Aviv of the Venture Capital inBrazil Forum, an event that has been growing each year in Menlo Park with the participation of the principal venture capitalists of Brazil and abroad.
Background:
ABVCAP and Anjos do Brasil conducted its first agenda in Israel in 2015 and had the participation of 14 professionals including fund managers, angel investors and senior advisors. Anjos do Brasil carried out the agenda in 2016 and 17 focused on the interests of its members. In 2018 both entities come together to provide professionals of the asset class with a holistic experience that fulfill the needs and interests of all participants.
Israel:
One of the top 10 regions most friendly to startups and an important hub for global disruptive innovation, Israel has been a key market to learn from and develop relationships. Since 2015 venture activity between Israel and Brazil has intensified with some of Brazilian funds making investments in Israeli companies such as the example of Mindset Ventures with eight investments in Israel, M&As has happened on both sides including Avante´s acquisition of Sling and finally partnerships such as the one between Jerusalem Venture Partners and OpenVC. The coordination of the meetings and invitations to the VC inBrazil Forum will be in partnership with the Economic Mission of the Israeli Consulate of São Paulo.
