About the Event: In its third edition, the Forum brought innovative themes and the latest trends and discussions about one of the most attractive regions for private equity and venture capital investments in emerging markets, Latin America. The event was organized by ABVCAP through its international arm PEVC inBrazil, BVCA and Amexcap, and had the local support of Pinheiro Neto Advogados. The leaders of each association opened the event highlighting the importance each market has in the development of the global industry. Clovis Meurer, President of ABVCAP spoke on behalf of the association. Julio Ramundo, MD at BNDES spoke about the Banks important role as an investors in the development of the local industry. He also shared perspectives on the growth of Brazil´s economy and the opportunities that continues to flourish in the country, including a massive and changing middle class. Local fund managers included Luis Fernando Lopes, Patria Investimentos; Amaury Junior, Vision Investments; Frederico Robalinho, Nova Investimentos; Luiz Carlos Abreu, NSG Capital and Jayme Cardoso, BR Investimentos.
