PE&VC in Brazil

An ABVCAP and ApexBrasil initiative to increase the volume of foreign capital in the Brazilian private capital market.

About inBrazil

The program is an initiative of ABVCAP with Apexbrasil launched in 2009 with the objective of increasing the volume of foreign capital for the Brazilian private capital market, as well as fostering innovation and competitiveness of the asset class on the global stage, supporting the development of the Brazilian economy and companies.

Over the course of more than a decade, more than 150 missions were carried out in Brazil and in strategic international markets such as the United States, Canada, Colombia, the United Kingdom, Israel, Germany and Japan, among many others.

The program has a team specialized in activation and relations with international investors, which provides customized service to international investors interested in learning about or staying up to date on opportunities in the Brazilian private capital market, or fund managers considering launching a fundraising campaign abroad.

Managers or companies wishing to participate in the program must be ABVCAP members and sign the Program Membership Agreement. Exceptionally, non-members may participate if they qualify as the program's target audience, upon signing the above agreement and meeting the required requirements.

    Brazilian managers considering starting a fundraising campaign abroad must consider the long and challenging journey ahead. Of the global allocation committed to private equity and venture capital funds in recent years, less than 1% has been allocated to Brazilian funds. International investors have gradually reduced relationships with new managers, concentrating ever-higher volumes among a smaller number of managers. Considering this scenario, the inBrazil program was created to facilitate dialogue between qualified international investors and Brazilian managers, supporting managers in this arduous process of raising foreign funds.

  • Customized service on strategy, markets, and potential investors aligned with each fund's thesis;
  • Participation in missions and business rounds promoting qualified connections with international investors in Brazil and abroad;
  • Possibility of participation and space in the agendas of international events and in Brazil according to the curation of each event – This benefit is exclusive to ABVCAP members;
  • Access to training and tools aimed at improving your foreign fundraising process;
  • Free or discounted registration for major international and Brazilian events held within the program – This benefit is exclusive to ABVCAP members;
  • Access to the calendar of major global industry events hosted by competent staff.
  • Managers or companies wishing to participate in the program must be ABVCAP members and sign the Program Membership Agreement. Exceptionally, non-members may participate if they qualify as the program's target audience, upon signing the above agreement and meeting the required requirements.

    This program is supported by an agreement between ABVCAP and Apexbrasil. The program is free of charge, but you must sign the membership agreement, which you can download below. It's important to note that only companies that sign the membership agreement and fulfill their responsibilities (below) will be able to remain in the program.
